It’s done on a pro-am, or buddy system. After the first day’s racing, each boat will be paired with another – 1st with last, 2nd with 2nd-last, and so on. For the rest of the regatta these boats’ scores will be combined, and the pair with the lowest score at the end of the regatta wins! The spinnaker will go to the lower-placed of the pair, with another good prize for the higher-placed boat.
This gives a good incentive to get chatting and sharing rig-tuning and boat handling tips with your paired boat.
Also on offer is a half price sail of your choosing from Dart Sails, which will be drawn at the prizegiving.
